For mixed construction, count every post in total, then identify the wood subset. Include a note below if post spacing or construction changes along the path.

Measure the gate width

Record the measured width and reference faces. Seneca determines the final manufactured gate width.

For a new installation, measure between the inside faces of the mounting posts. If rails are already installed, you can measure their inside faces instead. Select the reference below so Seneca can interpret the dimension correctly. Do not deduct for mounting brackets.

Wood-post offsets come from Seneca's mounting brackets. Steel-post faces are usually nearly flush with the track. Seneca determines the final gate and beam dimensions.

Identify the narrowest point

Walk the full length of the travel lane. Check posts, walls and other projections on both sides.

Record the smallest clear face-to-face width the gate must pass through and its location. Check mixed wood and steel posts, knee walls and other obstructions.
